This mural is based on the artist’s interpretation of an outdoor restaurant in the Amalfi Coast. It depicts people cooling off with cold refreshments, on a hot summer day, while being entertained by an Elvis Pressley impersonator. The idea of the Elvis impersonator in Italy came from Romeo’s Restaurant, who invited the impersonator to perform. The artist also painted the word Romeo’s on each umbrella such that the restaurant in the painting and Romeo’s Restaurant have a common theme.
